What to Buy Your Dad for Christmas?
What to Buy Dad for Christmas
By Teal Bailey
I love to shop, but sometimes shopping for my Dad for Christmas is really hard. When I ask my mom what she wants for Christmas, she smiles and hands me a list. But, when I ask my Dad what he wants for Christmas, he shrugs and says, "I don't know.
I don't really need anything. I'm fine." Which kind of made me crazy!
But I was determined to figure out a great gift, because I really love my dad. And because my dad is like the ultimate Super Dad. He takes us fishing, hiking, and to tennis tournaments. Plus he's always grabbing all seven of us kids to play scrimmage football.
I really wanted to see my dad loving whatever I got him and using it. And then I would know that every time he used it he would think of me and know how much I loved him back.
But as hard as I tried to rummage through his stuff and scan the web, I still came up with nothing. So I did what any girl my age would do, I dumped the problem on my mom. And she came up with a cool solution; she used her e mail blast of over 11,000 people and asked the men what they wanted for Christmas.
And guess what? None of them said they wanted a tie. What most of them DID want was (believe it or not) golf balls, tennis balls, fishing lures, and socks. Go figure. They also wanted coffee mugs, GPSs, stuff for grilling, and weird stuff like Duck Dynasty duck calls. And every other Dad said he wanted DVDs or a DVD collection.
But there are also things that I figured out that I could do for my dad for free or practically free. One year I wrote my dad a poem. Another time I made a collage of pictures of me and the other kids (but mostly me) and I put it in a nice frame for him.
I have also baked him cookies and wrote him an I.O.U. that said I would wash wash and clean out his truck once a week for a month. The last one turned out to be pretty hard, so I wouldn't recommend it - lol.
But the reality is, even if you do buy your dad a tie, he'll love it because he's your dad and he got it from you.
Anyway, after I compiled this huge list of cool things to get my dad, then my mom gave me this homeschool homework assignment to build a website.
So that's how I ended up creating my website called: What to Buy Your Dad for Christmas.
My name is Teal Bailey and I love to shop -- but sometimes shopping for my Dads for Christmas is really hard. When I ask my mom what she wants for Christmas, she smiles and hands me a list.

Which kind of makes me crazy!@!
But since my mom and dad own the two rhinehart's Oyster Bars in Augusta www.beyondcasual.com
So mom had a contest for the more than 11,000 people on her email blast list - and they sent her hundreds of gift ideas which we will show you on this website.
